The call for proposals can be found at this   link  under the ‘Applying for Funding’ tab. It also includes links to the Guidelines, FAQ documents, as well as information on DEAR co-funding.

Key dates include: 

• Friday 18 October: Irish Aid Global Citizenship Education Grants Call for proposals published on Irish Aid website.
• Wednesday 06 November at 2.00pm: Irish Aid Information Session on the GCE Grants. If you are interested, please register for the information session by emailing  globalcitizenshipeducation@dfa.ie . A link for the videoconference will then follow next week.
• Friday 08 November, 5.00pm, Deadline for receipt of eligibility forms: Please note an important change to the eligibility process: ALL organisations hoping to apply must complete an eligibility form. Eligibility forms can be requested by emailing the Global Citizenship Education Mailbox. Completed eligibility forms must be submitted to the Global Citizenship Education Mailbox. Organisations who fail to meet the eligibility deadline cannot be considered
• Wednesday 13 November: Organisations will be notified of their eligibility
• Thursday 05 December, 12.00pm, Deadline for applications: The completed application form, signed by the legal representative of the organisation (e.g. the CEO or the Chair of the Board) should be e-mailed to the Global Citizenship Education Mailbox. Please note, applications which are received after this date will not be considered. Just so you are aware of the earlier submission deadline - 12 noon rather than 5.00pm as was stated previously. 
•  It is intended that the appraisal of applications will take place in Quarter 1 2025 and notification of funding decisions will issue

• IDEA annually produces a resource Results-based Approaches in Development Education - A practical toolkit .  This toolkit aims to help practitioners developing Results Frameworks for Development Education/Global Citizenship Education projects. It takes you step by step through the process of building an effective results table to reach the change you want to achieve, within the timeframe of your project. While created to reflect Irish Aid’s Results Framework for Development Education/Global Citizenship Education Grants rounds, the approach outlined in the toolkit can be applied to many other Development Education settings. The toolkit for the 2025 grants round is now available on the IDEA website here .

As in recent years, we are inviting any other actors who are not yet members of IDEA to these training events. All training events are free of charge.
