Global Citizenship Education practitioners engage with hundreds of thousands of people of all ages and communities throughout Ireland each year.
In 2024 alone the Global Citizenship Education programmes funded by Irish Aid engaged over 360,000 learners through seminars, project work for awards, accredited training courses, film festivals, peer learning, cultural events and field work.
While there is more Global Citizenship Education work going on beyond the programmes funded by Irish Aid, this provides a flavour of the reach and impact of the sector.
