IDEA Knowledge Shares

Our member knowledge shares are peer-led sessions that offer IDEA members an opportunity to hear about each other’s Global Citizenship Education practice and share learning. They began in 2020 as a way for members to stay connected and keep up to date with each other's work during the pandemic. Since then, they have developed into a weekly online summer favourite.

Each session runs for 45 minutes and is led by an IDEA member, sharing a specific aspect of their Global Citizenship Education practice. It includes a short presentation showcasing their work, followed by a Questions and Answers session.

How to get involved:

The links for these sessions are shared with all IDEA members and no registration is needed. Members are welcome to contact IDEA if they would like to lead a session and share a project, approach or idea with other members. IDEA staff also contact members directly when we are aware of projects or initiatives that could be showcased in a Knowledge Share.

Code Network Meeting December 2026

Date: Tuesday 01 December, 10.00am – 3.30pm Location: Richmond Barracks, Inchicore, Dublin 8, D08 YY05 IDEA is looking forward to welcoming all members of the Code of Good Practice for Development Education to our next Code network meeting on Tuesday 1 December, in Richmond Barracks in Inchicore, Dublin. There are places for two representatives, staff, volunteers, etc., from each Code member. One of the commitments in joining the Code is to contribute to the Community of Practice for this Code, including sharing successes and learning with other Code members and attending at least one of two Code network meetings annually.
