Áine  Boyle

Áine Boyle worked with IDEA from 2024–2025 as Code Support Officer, supporting the implementation of the Code of Good Practice and engaging closely with Code community members to strengthen shared learning and practice. During this time, she also worked with Latvian NGO LAPAS and their members to support the first international adaptation of the Code for the Latvian context, marking an important step in expanding the Code’s reach and relevance beyond Ireland. Áine is delighted to continue her involvement with IDEA and the Code community as a Panel member. Áine’s interest in development education began as Programmes Coordinator with Voluntary Service International (VSI), where she worked on the Global Citizenship Education programme. Inspired by VSI’s international volunteering ethos, she went on to volunteer on various grassroots projects across Europe and Asia focused on education, sustainability, and community-led action. These experiences deepened her curiosity about the world and the diverse ways people learn, connect and take action together.
